Norman A. Balderson, of Seabrook Island, South Carolina, husband of Sherry Hewitt Balderson entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 9, 2016. His Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held Monday November 14, 2016 in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3871 Betsy Kerrison Pkwy, Johns Island at 2:00 p.m. A reception will be held immediately following the service at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek, 4000 Briar's Creek Lane, Johns Island.
Norman was born August 14, 1933 son of the late Norman S. Balderson and Elsie Sanford Balderson and was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a graduate of University of Maryland. He retired as Vice President of the Frank L. Hewitt Real Estate Company. Norman was a former board member of Montgomery County Maryland Crime Stoppers, Southeastern Crime Stoppers, and the American Red Cross. Norman enjoyed the retirement life in the SC Lowcounty. His love of music included popular songs from the 60's, and Classical Symphony.
Norman was a gentleman first and foremost, a man of his word and convictions, and loved his life, family and friends.
Norman is survived by his wife, Sherry Balderson of Seabrook Island, SC; daughter, Karen Lueders (Lars) of Laurel, MD; son, Randy Balderson (Maribel) of Ellicott City, MD; two grandchildren, Angela Lantry, Jenna Balderson; two great-grandchildren, Aradia Rockstar, Avalon Rockstar; sister, Nancy Whitney of Naples, FL; brother, Stuart Balderson (Marie) of Glenwood, MD. He is predeceased in death by his son, Scott William Balderson.
