Norma Ruth Waggoner

Norma Ruth Waggoner, 95, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Lt. Col. Kenneth Reed Waggoner, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Her funeral service will be held Monday, June 20, 2022 in the Carolina Memorial Park Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 11:00 am, with a viewing beginning an hour prior. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Norma was born June 9, 1927 in Washington, Indiana, daughter of the late Fred Barber and Mae Bradfield Barber. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and a former owner of a Charleston dress shop. Norma loved gardening, sewing, her family, and will always be remembered for her love of decorating for the Christmas holidays.

She is survived by her children, Diana Lynne Hardwick, Pamela Sue Apperson (Courtney), Lana Jo Truitt, and Gary R. Waggoner (Paula); 9 grandchildren, Heather Cuajunco (Tony), Andree Buckthal (Chad), Eric Hardwick (Rebecca), Craig Hansel, Stephanie Lorick (Michael), Courtney Nicholson (J.C.), Scott Truitt (Erin), Brian Waggoner, and Cameron W. Huff (Miah); and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in Norma's honor to the Shrines Children's Hospital in Greenville, SC.
