Norma Faye Toler Brunson, 84, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Thomas Ashworth Brunson, died Saturday, December 1, 2018. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in Hibben United Methodist Church, 690 Coleman Blvd. at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 10:00 am until time of the service. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. Norma was born January 10, 1934 in Manteo, North Carolina, daughter of the late Walter G. Toler and Nellie Mae Rodgers Toler. She was a graduate of Moultrie High School and was a homemaker. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Mt. Pleasant Marina and Lowcountry Well Drillers. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile and the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a longtime member of Hibben United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela N. Brunson, and Elaine Bucholtz (Bob); her son, David T. Brunson of Mount Pleasant three granddaughters, Windy C Baker, Cherie E. Smith, and Kristen M. Brunson; four grandsons, Barney R. Howard, Matthew B. Howard, Andrew T. Howard, and David T. Brunson, Jr.; five great-granddaughters, Megan, Virginia, Olivia, Serenity, and Karmin; four great-grandsons, Henry, George, Reed, and Bodhi; three great-great-granddaughters, Charlotte, Lorelei, and Emilia; her sister-in-laws, Emma June Brunson Cypress, and Patricia Brunson; her brother-in-law, Harry A. Brunson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonita F. Clyde, and her son, Thomas A. Brunson, Jr., and her grandson Toby Clyde.
