Norma Jane Howell Barber

Norma Jane Howell Barber, 93, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Melvin "Bud" Barber died Monday, September 4, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Norma's burial will be held later in Arlington National Cemetery joining her late husband after 56 years of marriage.

Norma was born May 31, 1924 in New Lexington, Ohio, daughter of the late Vern V. Howell and the late Dorothy Lillian Dunkle Howell. She graduated from Madison High School and retired as a medical office manager. She was an active member of the Democratic Party of Ohio, a member of the SPCA and a former member of First Christian Church, Mansfield, Ohio.

She is survived by daughter, Dr. Michale "Mickey" Barber, (Bob Graf) of Isle Of Palms, SC; grandchildren, Brandt Barber, Chloe Bott, Cameron Segal, Lindsay Segal and Gracie Bott. She was preceded in death by son, Brad Barber, daughter, Marta Bott, and grandson, Benjamin Barber.
