Norine Hill Lavender

Norine Hill Lavender, 92, of Hanahan, SC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Her Graveside Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 in the Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Norine was born November 6, 1925 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Russell Monroe Hill and the late Nora Crosby Hill. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of North Charleston and was an avid bowler. Norine loved attending Southern Gospel music concerts. The family wishes to extend a special "thank you" to all of her caregivers at Florence Place and Agape Hospice.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Lavender Pierce (Steve) of Timmonsville, SC; grandchildren: Ryan Pierce of West Columbia, SC, Stephanie Barrett (Brandon) of Athens, GA, Melanie Lavender of North Charleston, SC; great-grandchildren: Anna Kate, Pierce and Jordan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Walter H. Lavender, Sr. and her son Walter H. Lavender, Jr.
