Nolan Clint Walker

Nolan Clint Walker, Jr., 92, of Charleston, SC, husband of Evelyn Juanita Gibbs Walker, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, July 14, 2021. His private family graveside service, with Military Honors, will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 in the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Nolan was born October 5, 1928 in Sullivan's Island, SC, son of the late Nolan Clint Walker, Sr. and the late Annie Charlotta Tapio Walker. He was a retired electrician for the Charleston Navy Shipyard who also served in the US Army, the US National Guard (Coast Guard), and the US Army Reserves. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Besides his wife of 47 years, Nolan is survived by his sister, Marjorie Ann Walker Nelson; his nephews, George Bernard Nelson Jr. (Jenna), James Ernest Nelson (Judith), David Alan Nelson, Mark Logan Gibbs, Patrick Eugene Gibbs; his niece, Gladys Allison Keniston (Tony); his great-nephews, James Bryson Nelson and Rhein Nelson; his great nieces, Kathryn Leigh Nelson, Chrissie Keniston and Jessica Keniston; and brothers-in-law, William Leonard Gibbs and Allison Eugene Gibbs.

Memorial donations may be made to Caris Hospice of Charleston, Samaritan's Purse and American Red Cross.
