Nicholas Ryan Dederick, 17, of Summerville, SC, died Sunday, August 28, 2016. His funeral service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016, in Faith Assembly of God, 337 Farmington Road, Summerville, SC, at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Nicholas was born November 14, 1998 in Poughkeepsie, NY, son of Michael Kevin Dederick and Joanne Marie Virgilio. Nicholas was a Senior at Fort Dorchester High School and a Varsity Football player number 85. He enjoyed hiking, mountain biking and kayaking.

He is survived by his parents; son, Hudson Dederick; girlfriend, Morgan Dudley; brother, Richard Minckler (Keri Miller); sister, Kayla Minckler; grandparents, Paul and Yvonne Sherman; numerous cousins; close friends: Matthew Merritt, Noah Bennett, TJ Lynch and Moses Clark. In loving memory of a beautiful son, father, brother and a great friend to all. Your smile lit up the universe, your laughter made us all smile, your humor brought joy to so many. You've touched so many lives. You will be always in our hearts. We are so grateful to have known you and for all the wonderful gifts you brought to our lives just by being you.
You will never be forgotten and will be forever loved. Be free and at peace my son.
