Nettie Patrick Padgett, 91, of Hanahan, South Carolina, widow of Grover C. Padgett, Sr., died Thursday, August 29, 2013. Her funeral service will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL.
Mrs. Padgett was born August 19, 1922, in Summerville, South Carolina, daughter of Jacob J. Patrick and Susannah Tomlinson Patrick. She was a retired clerk from Shop 52 at the Charleston Naval Shipyard.
She is survived by two sons, Grady Padgett (Judy) of Longmont, CO and Christopher Padgett (Meribeth) of Westminster, CO; niece, Deborah Nelson of North Charleston, SC; daughter-in-law, Vicki Brownlee of Harleyville, SC; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Nettie is predeceased by a son, Grover C. Padgett, Jr., three brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston SC 29406.
