Nellie Ruth Jefferson, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on November 1, 2025. Her Graveside service will be held Wednesday November 5  2025 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC at 1:30pm. The visitation will be held graveside at 1:00 pm.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Nellie was born December 24, 1926 in Troy, Alabama, daughter of the late Robert E. Lee and the late Vera Barron Lee. Mrs. Jefferson enjoyed gardening and cooking. She loved spending days shopping and could never pass up a good movie. When she was able she had a passion for traveling. Although, West Ashley was her home after having a stroke fifteen years ago, she set roots in Round O with her son, George and his wife Cindy. She was heavily involved with her former church, Pier Point Baptist Church.

She is survived by son, George F. Jefferson, III (Cindy Jefferson) of Round O, SC; Daughter Delma Teresa Haberman of Charleston, SC; and many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her Poodle, Missy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Jefferson, Jr., her two sons, Gerald Jefferson and Larry Jefferson, her daughter, Jennifer Tincher and her loving dog Peanut.
