Nellie Martin Fisher Fabrizio, 97, of Charleston, South Carolina, formerly of Columbia, South Carolina, widow of Charles Wilson Fisher, who was the love of her life, and William Fabrizio, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 19, 2013. The family will receive friends Monday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy. from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Charlestowne Methodist Church (across from Charlestowne Landing) at 11:00 am. Burial services will be concluded in Elmwood Cemetery, Columbia, SC, at 2:00 pm.
Nellie was born May 22, 1915 in Monticello, South Carolina, daughter of Joseph Gladney Martin and Mary Alston Pearson Martin. She was a Registered Nurse and graduate of Columbia Hospital School of Nursing where she received her nursing degree. She was a member of Charlestowne Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Alma L. LaMar (Ed) of Charleston, three grandchildren, Sheri Mazell (Jack) of Charleston, Cindy Howell (Dean) of Mt. Pleasant, Michael LaMar (Karen) of Charleston; five great-grandchilden, Melissa Mastrosimone (Marc), Michelle Mazell, Jacob Howell, Brittany LaMar, Brooke LaMar; and two great-great-grandchildren, Conner Mastrosimone and Taylor Mastrosimone.
