Nell Reeves Lassig, 91, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Donald Leslie Lassig entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 2, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the First Baptist Church of Charleston, 48 Meeting Street at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.
Nell was born April 7, 1926 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Charles Calhoun Reeves and Cleasie Wyndham Reeves. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Charleston where she was a deacon, a member of the Nonie Wilson-Ann Judson Sunday School Class, head of homebound ministries for many years, and served as Senior Adult Activity Coordinator for 20 years. Nell spent a lifetime sharing the Gospel with children as she was the director of children's Sunday School and taught Bible at First Baptist School for 29 years.
She is survived by two daughters: Karen Lassig Rodelsperger (Dr. George Edward) of Johns Island, SC and Linda Caroline Corbisello of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandson, Dr. Robert Peter Rodelsperger (Holly Renken) of Charleston, SC; two granddaughters: Elizabeth Rodelsperger Curry (Dr. Jason Andrew) of Charleston, SC and Sarah Rodelsperger Rickman (Demitri Emanuel) of Charleston, SC; great-grandchildren, Allie, Emma, and Peter Rodelsperger; sister, Mary Reeves Simons of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jordon Tradd Barber and her brother and a sister.
