Nell Middleton King, 81, passed into eternal life surrounded by her family and dear friends on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 27, 2015, in Wando Woods Baptist Church, 4123 Dorsey Avenue, North Charleston, at 2:00 p.m. A time for viewing will be available just prior to the service. Nell was born in Zwolle, Louisiana, on March 26, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Argus and Emma Middleton. She was known for her deep faith, her bright and cheerful spirit, and her matchless sense of humor. Her cup was always half full, never half empty, despite the challenges of living with MS for so many years. She deeply loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all. Her family and friends will continue to be inspired by her contentment and joy and a life well lived. Her unique faith and boundless love for others will continue in the generations to come.
Nell is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Chester King. The love they shared was truly special and touched all who knew them. She is also survived by her two daughters, Linda Ann Sentell (Ronnie) of St. Marys, GA, and Amy Middleton Wallman (Aaron) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister, Myra Plaster of Zwolle, LA, six grandchildren, all of whom she adored, Christopher and Aaron Sentell, and Holland, Bannan, Brock, and Vander Wallman. Nell was preceded in death by her sister, Billie Jean Northam.
