Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of August 24, 2011, Neal Irwin Baker, husband of Elizabeth Morgan Baker. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Irwin Baker are invited to attend the funeral service of the former, Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 am in Temple Beth Elohim, 90 Hasell Interment, Beth Elohim Cemetery, Huguenin Avenue.
Mr. Baker was born January 7, 1950, in Charleston, SC, the son of Benjamin Logan Baker and Pearl Hirsch Baker. He attended Georgia State University and was a member of Temple Beth Elohim Reformed Congregation. He was a Real Estate Developer and owner of Neal Baker, Inc. Mr. Baker had a passion for golf and contributed to the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation, as well as to The College of Charleston Golf Team and was a generous donor to the college. He was a benefactor to the Charleston Collegiate School for their gymnasium. Walkway of Life was funded by Neal and Elizabeth for KKBE Temple.
He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; his parents of Boca Raton, FL; one daughter: Amanda M. Baker of Los Angeles, CA; one son: Bradley M. Baker of Charleston, SC; two sisters: Debbie Jones of Georgetown, SC and Barbara Baker of Santa Fe, NM.
