Nathan Franklin Roleson

February 3, 1915 — October 10, 2010

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 10, 2010, Nathan Franklin Roleson. Residence, Seabrook Island, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 11:00 am in Johns Island Presbyterian Church.  Interment, Churchyard.  The family will receive friends at the Church, one hour prior to the service.


Mr. Roleson was born February 3, 1915 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of James Brookfield Roleson and Totsie Somervell Roleson.  He was a graduate of Jonesboro State College where he served as Captain of the ROTC. He later married his childhood sweetheart Nancy Stuart Brandon, who preceded him in death.  He made a career in the auto industry. He worked with General Motors in support of the war effort during World War II.  He rose to Director of Fleet Sales with American Motors Corporation.


He was one of the original residents of Seabrook Island in 1971 and moved to the Island full in 1976.  He and Nancy were members of Johns Island Presbyterian Church. 


He is survived by one daughter: Rebecca Anne Rodgers (George) of Angola, Indiana; three grandsons: Peter L. Roesner (Debra) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, David B. Roesner (J.J.) of Chicago, Illinois and J. Franklin Roesner (Kristin) of Indianapolis, Indiana; three great grandchildren: Peter, Nina and Adam.
