Nancy Horres Rhoades, 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of D. Dusty Rhoades entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 17, 2018 surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 21, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL , 232 Calhoun Street from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 in St. Michael's Church, 71 Broad Street at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, 70 Cunnington Avenue.
Nancy was born March 13, 1949 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Ernest Glenn Horres, DVM and Frances Blalock Horres. She was a graduate of Charleston Southern University and a former math teacher at Charleston High School. She was a retired Legal Assistant with The Job Injury Law Firm and was involved with The Robert Ivey Ballet for many years.
She is survived by her husband, D. Dusty Rhoades; two daughters, Michelle Rhoades Chamness (Clinton), Erin Rhoades Workman (Derek), son, Matthew Lyle Rhoades; two sisters, Lynn Horres Rogers (Hudson), Betsy Horres Stokes (Jimmy); two brothers, Ernest Glenn Horres, Jr. (Mackall), Thomas Dixon Horres (Stephanie); four grandchildren, Anna Chamness, Madeline Chamness, Davis Workman, and Daniel Workman all of Charleston, SC.
