Nancy Robb Redding

Nancy Robb Redding, 88, wife of the late Joseph Stafford Redding, MD., of Mt. Pleasant, SC., passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011. The relatives and friends of Nancy Redding are invited to attend her Liturgy of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in J. Henry Stuhr's Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends at J. Henry Stuhr's Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. 

 Mrs. Redding was born May 23, 1922 in Cumberland, MD, daughter of the late Honorable David Austin Robb and Blanche Stallings Robb.   She graduated from Skidmore College with a BS in Physical Education and was a licensed Physical Therapist.  She was a veteran of WWII where she served in the Womens Army Corps (WAC).  She spent the last twenty years "RVing" across America and Canada with her dear friend, Grace Rogers.  She is survived by her three sons, Joseph S. Redding, Jr. of Manassas, VA, David R. Redding of Charlotte, NC and Robert S. Redding of Isle of Palms, SC; two daughters, Lorraine S. Redding of Smith Mountain Lake, VA and Helen R. Hargest of Germantown, TN; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joseph S. Redding Critical Care Fund, Health Sciences Foundation, MUSC, 171 Ashley Avenue, Charleston, SC 29425.
