Nancy Ann Harris Needham

Nancy Ann Harris Needham, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Donald Glyn Needham, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 1, 2024. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 4, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Nancy was born May 8, 1939 in Norwood, North Carolina, daughter of the late Raymond Harris and Ruby Gregory Harris. Nancy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a professional business woman with State Farm. Around Christmas time, she regularly headed up Samaritan's Purse. Nancy loved all children and taught children's Sunday School. She also loved her women's Sunday School class at Ashley River Baptist Church. Nancy dearly loved all of her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her daughters, Wendy Warren (Mike) of Greenville, SC and Amy Black (Steve) of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Katherine Williamson (Tom), Andrew Warren (Arlyn), Brantley Black (Mai), and Maddy Smith (Andrew); great grandchildren, Caroline, Keira, Johann, and Augustus "AG" Glen; siblings, Roger Harris of Wilmington, NC, Emily Davis (Jimmy) of Albemarle, NC, Theresa Allen (Ralph) of Norwood, NC, Judy McRae (Nook) of Wadeville, NC, Terry Harris (Patricia) of Albemarle, NC, and Joy Haywood of Wadeville, NC; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Sondra McRae; and brother, Adam Harris.

Memorial donations can be made in Nancy's memory to Samaritan's Purse.
