MOUNT PLEASANT — It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Nancy “Muggs” Colleen Wallace, 75, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Nancy was born on September 28, 1949, in Corpus Christi, Texas and passed away on August 7,2025, after a brave and difficult battle with cancer. Nancy graduated from the College of Charleston and the MUSC School of Nursing. Nancy loved working as a nurse and caring for her patients. Nancy loved her family, including her dog, “Oscar”, and all of her “granddogs”. Nancy loved creating magical works of art and gardening.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Lori Dandridge Stoney (Raymond Robert Roe); her granddaughter, Croft Middleton Stoney; her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia “Ginny” and William Joseph “B.J.” Outlaw; her half-sister, Kathy Vaaler; and her two beautiful nieces, Leigh Ashley Outlaw and Wynne Elliott Outlaw (Scott Gise). Nancy was proceeded in death by her beautiful grandniece, Hayden Ashley Hawkey; her parents, Thomas Benton Wallace and Emma Nevada (Flora) Wallace; her brother, Thomas “Pete” Wallace; her half-brother, Larry “Dal Winterhawk” Mareiro Hughes; and her halfbrother, Michael Freeman.
Nancy’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at their residence. The address is 1010 Casseque Province in Mt. Pleasant.
