Nancy Anne Correll

Nancy Anne Correll, 68, of McClellanville, SC, formerly of Hilton Head Island, SC, wife of Donald E Correll, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 12, 2024 following a long illness. A memorial service on Hilton Head Island is currently being planned (date TBD).

Nancy was born on January 23, 1956, in Pittsburgh, PA to parents Felicia “Faye” Willis and Eugene M Willis both of Pittsburgh, PA and Hilton Head Island, SC. Nancy graduated from Fox Chapel High School in Pittsburgh, PA, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA.

Nancy fell in love with Hilton Head Island as a child, and made it her permanent home in 1980. She obtained her real estate license and started her career with Sea Pines Realty. Throughout her career she continued to sell properties on the island with the William F Hilton Company and finally in 2013 as a sales member of Keller Williams of the Low Country.

Nancy loved being on the water. She and her husband Don loved their time on their aptly named boat, “Island Time.” Nancy enjoyed the friendships she made as a member of the Hilton Head Plantation Yacht Club and served on several club committees. Nancy was an advocate of the underprivileged, and despite her petite size, she worked on several Habitat for Humanity homes.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband Donald E Correll of McClellanville, SC and formerly of Hilton Head Island, SC; her sister Susanna “Sue” Willis of Fredericksburg, VA; step-children Judith Smith (Kevin) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Sam Correll (Amber) of Denver, CO and Caroline Gebhardt (Nick) of Atlanta, GA; nieces Mollie Hitchins (David) of Crozet, VA, Margaret Carter (Greg) of Waynesboro, VA and nephew Leo Connors of Richmond, VA.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Felicia M Willis and Eugene M Willis.
