Nancy Foster Herrin Burrows, 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Edward Lewis Burrows, Jr., entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 1, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be held later. The family will receive friends Tuesday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Nancy was born September 23, 1945 in Palestine, Texas, a daughter of the late Joseph Foster Herrin and Elizabeth Robinson Herrin. She was a graduate of Lon Morris College and University of Texas at Austin, B.A. in drama. She traveled the world with her husband of 46 years visiting over 50 countries working in many jobs and capacities. She was known by all as creative, curious, caring, helpful, kind and loving. She loved nature in all its forms, garage sales, and she especially loved sweets. She was one of the good ones.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Lewis Burrows, Jr. of Charleston; a sister, Elizabeth Lee Herrin Creer of Brenham, TX; two nieces, Heather Lee Craine Creer-Rygalski of New Caney, TX; Kerri Erin Warnes of Plano, TX and her sons, Campbell and Henry Warnes; two godsons, Christian Eddleman of Portland, OR and Harry Eddleman of Los Angeles, CA; sister-in-law, Linda Kay Burrows of Garland, TX; brother-in-law, Lee Powell of Garland, TX; and various cousins and countless friends around the world.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity in Nancy's name.
