Myrtle Louise Gaskins, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, widow of Logan Gaskins, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011. The relatives and friends of Myrtle Gaskins are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt. Pleasant. The family will greet friends following the service. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Myrtle was born on December 11, 1921, daughter of the late John Morris and Harriett Ackerman Morris. She devoted her life to caring for her family, and enjoyed cooking, gardening and crochet work. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of McClellanville, SC.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Benci and her husband Charles of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Cynthia Jordan and her husband Louis, of Charleston, SC; and her son, Timothy Logan Gaskins, of Ridgeville, SC.
