Murry Eugene “PeeWee” Campbell, 93, of Awendaw, South Carolina, husband of the late Ruth Drose Campbell, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Veteran’s Victory House in Walterboro, SC. His graveside service will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Wilson Cemetery, Awendaw, SC at 3:00 pm.

PeeWee was born June 22, 1932, in Awendaw, South Carolina, son of the late John Alonzo Campbell and the late Pawnee Lee Thames Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, and is survived by one daughter, Rhonda C. Conway and her husband, Timothy of Savannah, GA; one son, Murry E. Campbell, Jr. of Awendaw, SC; one brother, Kenneth L. Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren, Sean Conway and Bryce Conway, both of Savannah, GA; and Jamie Campbell and Taylor Campbell, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Veteran’s Victory House, 2461 Sidneys Road, Walterboro, SC 29488.
