Bubbles was born December 29, 1930 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Harry Berendt and Fannie Posner Berendt. A proud native of Charleston, she graduated from Memminger High School and attended The University of South Carolina. She was a devoted wife of 54 years. She was member of Hadassah. Her keen sense of fashion inspired her to open a women's clothing boutique, This End Up, with her brother, Ira in the old Ashley Plaza Mall in the 70's. Her greatest passions were her children, grand children, great-grandchildren and chocolate; not necessarily in that order.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Ziman (Robert) of Charleston, SC; two sons, Kevin Ziman (Janis) of Charleston, SC, Mark Ziman (Iris) of Israel; brother, Ira Berendt (Andrea) of Charleston, SC, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.We would like to thank the health care professionals from Heartland of West Ashley, Heartland Hospice, Ahava Hospice and all the many caretakers who provided their devotion to Bubbles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society and The American Heart Association.
