MSgt. Thomas C. Jones Jr., USAF Ret., 81, of Summerville, SC, died Thursday, May 23, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment, Old St. Andrews Parish Churchyard with military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

MSgt. Jones was born February 12, 1932 in Ellenboro, NC, son of the late Thomas C. Jones and the late Susan Carrie Pannel Jones. He was a Aircraft mechanic and flight engineer for 23 years. He was a Baptist by faith, member of the Republican Party and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his sons: Tommy D. Jones of Roanoke, VA, Russell D. Jones of Moncks Corner, SC and Steven D. Jones of Summerville, SC; daughters, Debra Puckett of Wetumpka, AL and Susan D. Jones of Summerville, SC; sisters, Jane Cabaniss of Rock Hill, SC and Katie Pruitt of Kings Mountain, NC; granddaughter, Joanna Ridgeway of Summerville, SC of the home; 10 other grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Bailey Seithel Hood Jones.
