MSgt. William "Bill" Joseph Pierce

MSgt. William "Bill" Joseph Pierce, US Air Force Ret., 85, of Goose Creek, SC, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. His funeral service will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 1:00 pm. Interment with military honors to follow at Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Stuhr Northwoods Chapel.

Bill was born February 15, 1933 in Sweet Water, AL, one of nine children of the late Mary Strickland Pierce. Following his 21 years of service in the Air Force, he later retired from civil service. Bill was a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Roll Tide! He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Bill was a man of great faith and member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Priscilla Pierce; daughter, Susan Stanley and her husband, Steven; two grandchildren, Josh Basobas (fiancée Mary Giannelli) and Tré Basobas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Ronald Moody all of Goose Creek, SC. He was preceded in death by all of his siblings.
