MSgt. Clyde B. Hostetter, USAF Ret., 81, of Hanahan, South Carolina, Husband of Jacqueline Eve Hostetter entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 10, 2018. His memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church, 5931 Murray Ave, Hanahan at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.
MSgt. Clyde was born May 30, 1936 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, son of the late James Columbus Hostetter and Sadie Elizabeth Hostetter. He was a retired Crew Chief for the USAF, he was an elder in the Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church and a member of the Hanahan Senior Center. He also worked at Braswell Ship yard as a computer operator and in the payroll department of DEFAS. Clyde enjoyed playing cards, coaching boxing and was a state official in Football and baseball.
In addition to his wife, Jacqueline Eve Hostetter of Hanahan, SC, he is survived by his daughter, Sylvanna Donovan (Richard) of Hanahan, grandchild, Jason Donovan (Jennifer) of Oakridge, NC, and two sisters, Opal Hostetter of Hampton, VA and Agnes Hostetter of Lexington, VA.
He is preceded in death by four brothers, Grant Hostetter, Paul Hostetter, Orson Hostetter and Carl Hostetter, and two sisters Leola Coldea and Rita Hostetter.
