MSgt. Charles Von Heffner, USAF Ret., 69. Charles was born July 19, 1946 in Gastonia, NC, the only child of the late Charles L. Heffner and the late Helen Freeman Heffner. Following his military career, Charles retired from Civil Service. He was a member of Loray Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC. His favorite place was Disney World. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Yasuko Uchima Heffner; daughter, Holly Arnold and her husband Jeff of Ladson, SC; grandsons, Nathaniel and Jacob Arnold.
