Morrell I. Brown passed away on the morning of June 14, 2011 at Veterans Victory House. He was born January 18, 1938 in Florence County. He was the son of the late Ido and Emma Brown.
Morrell graduated from Murray Vocational High School and served in the Army at Fort Riley, Kansas. He was retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard and worked for Alamo Rental Car for ten years before Alzheimer took over his life. He was a member of Crowfield Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; two sons, Dave M. Brown (Leslie) of Moncks Corner, Greg A. Brown (Kameron); grandson, Jacob C. Brown of Goose Creek; two sisters, Evelyn Creech and Margaret Brown of Hanahan; brother-in-law, Al Griffin (Lew); one niece and four nephews.
Jacob, PaPa would say to you, it was his pleasure to be your PaPa - "your bestest friend." The family would like to thank Dr. John Sanders and his staff for the care, support and understanding during the years Morrell lived with Alzheimer's.
