Monica Josephine Karales Stepanek, 77, of Charleston, SC, wife of William D. Stepanek, died Saturday, June 25, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Monday, June 27, 2016, in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Bethel Cemetery in Croton on Hudson, NY. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, with the Trisagion at 5:00 p.m.

Monica was born May 31, 1939 in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, daughter of the late Alexander Poltera and Sulamit Streiff Poltera. She was an artist and a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity. She was a loving wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband, William; two sons, Alexandros D. Karales of New York City, NY, and Andreas M. Karales of New York City, NY.
