Mollie S. Rhode

Mollie S. Rhode, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of James Gary Rhode entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 22, 2015. The family will receive friends Wednesday December 23, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 24, 2015 in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Hwy. at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Mollie was born on August 6, 1925 in Conway, SC, daughter of the late Cullen Harp Snowden and Ronie Bell Snowden. She attended Conway High School. Through the years she hosted and enjoyed many large gatherings of family and friends. Mollie will continue to be remembered for her generosity and selfless attitude. Mollie was an active member of Ashley River Baptist Church for 65 years.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Gary Rhode, her children Nancy Ellen Rhode and James Gary Rhode Jr., and grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Rhode and James Gary Rhode III. She is also survived by three out of her nine siblings, Naomi Henderson, Shirley Bobo, and Ann Schoen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
