Miriam Schoppel NeSmith

Miriam Schoppel NeSmith, beloved wife of the late Vernon Nesmith died Friday, December 6, 2022 at Franke at Seaside. She was born in Awendaw, S.C., the daughter of the late Dominico and Eulalie Schoppel and retired as the postmaster of Awendaw.

She was predeceased by her sister Louise Radcliffe (Tommy), two nephews, Mark Radcliffe and Harry Radcliffe.

She is survived by two nieces, Barbara Walters (Johnnie) and Lynn Hillyer.  Extended family includes Linda Radcliffe and grand nieces Michelle, Tara, Jennifer and their families.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, N.C.  28607.

A private family burial was held. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel.

Special thanks to Paris Goldston and the staff in the Assisted Living area of Franke at Seaside and more recently the staff in the Keil Center.

We will always be grateful for your love and care of our dear Aunt Miriam.
