Miriam Louise Hunt Johnson

Miriam Louise Hunt Johnson, 81, of Johns Island, South Carolina, she entered into eternal rest Saturday, May 4, 2019. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Her private burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.

Miriam was born February 16, 1938 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Frank Olin Hunt, Sr. and Louise Seyle Hunt. She was a member of James Island Baptist Church. Miriam lit up the room and lit the hearts of all she knew. Her gregarious nature was only equaled by her generous heart. She was fierce in the defense of her children, family and friends. Her shining soul showed in her laughing eyes. She will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her children, son, Harold Eugene Johnson, Jr., daughter, Darla Johnson Beckman, son, Gerald Alan Johnson, daughter, Lori Johnson Dennis; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Joseph Michael Johnson and granddaughter, Keri Lorraine Lilley.
