Miriam Stroman Burell, 94, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Billie C. Burell, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Miriam was born November 17, 1920 in Cameron, South Carolina, daughter of the late Marion W. Stroman and the late Gussie Aileen Till. She was a retired supervisory statistician with over 30 years in civil service at the Pentagon and the Charleston Naval Shipyard. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Miriam was a Doe at Charleston Elk's Lodge #242. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.

She is survived by daughter, Debra Tuell; three granddaughters, Laura Barton, Megan Tuell, and Jordan Tuell; three great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
