Mirelle Rona Smith Dean, 74, of Hanahan, SC, wife of William L. "Bill" Dean, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 22, 2015. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 12 noon in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Mirelle was born November 18, 1940 in Milford, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Samuel Edward Smith and Celia Barr Smith. She graduated Beth Israel Medical Center, Boston, MA as a registered nurse. Mirelle was a Navy Relief budget counselor and visiting nurse at the Charleston Naval Base.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bill; brother, Dr. Norton L. Smith (Dale) of Suffern, NY; three nieces, Jill Smith of Boston, MA, Marci Smith of Suffern, NY, and Nanci Rosenkranz of West Hartford, CT.
