Minnie Ruth Fontenot

Minnie Ruth Fontenot, 86, of Charleston, SC, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the service.

Minnie was born March 8, 1932 in Savannah, GA, daughter of the late Collins McCoy Spell and the late Eula Ginn Spell. She loved music, played guitar and sang. She was also a lover of animals.She is survived by her daughter, Diana Fontenot Cutrell (Mike) of Hanahan, SC; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Susan Fontenot of North Charleston, SC; sister, Barbara Daniels of Summerville, SC; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Anthony Fontenot; son, David Wayne Fontenot, daughter, Linda Fontenot Coatney and her husband Steve; five brothers and three sisters.
