Minnie Marie Alphin

Minnie "Marie" Alphin, 91, of Isle of Palms, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 13, 2023. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel. 

Marie was born December 24, 1931, in Potosí, Missouri, daughter of the late Harrison William Stuthers and the late Lottie Boyster Stuthers. She lived a long, full life, and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She will be remembered most for the way she loved her family. 

She is survived by her children, Gary R. Alphin (Jeanne) and Sondra F. Hines (Frank); three grandchildren, Dawn H. Helps (David), Brian S. Alphin (Kelli), Kristin A. Karlin (Andy); seven great-grandchildren, David L. Helps (Madison), Ethan B. Helps, Faith M. Helps, Samuel J. Karlin, Isabella M. Karlin, Paul D. Karlin, and Jacob A. Karlin; and a sister, Linda Stanfield. 

Marie was predeceased  by her husband, Lorell Alphin, and nine brothers and sisters: Edward, William "Bill", Edna, Roy, Maggie, Ellie, Susie, Carl, and Otis. 

The immediate family, which resides throughout the country, will hold a private memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
