Minerva (Mellie) Sadie Dixon

Minerva (Mellie) Sadie Dixon, 78, of Hollywood, SC, wife of Willard Eugene Dixon, entered into eternal rest Monday, August 2, 2021. Her Rite of Committal will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 11:00 am. Her visitation will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Mellie was born July 17, 1943 in Candaba, Pampanga Philippines, a daughter of the late Arturo Guevarra and the late Marta Sadie Guevarra. She love to sing, dance, travel, work in her garden, but most of all, taking care of her family. Mellie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a fantastic cook.

Along with her husband of 55 years, she is survived by her children, Marcel (Al) Fross, Willard (Missy) Dixon Jr., Steven (Roxanne) Dixon, Katherine (Bert) Snyder; her brothers, Rey Guevarra, Fred Guevarra, Eddie Guevarra, Roland Guevarra, and Jessie Guevarra; her seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; her puppy Penny.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Libring Balacbac, Placer Tinall, Faye Hernandez and Vizmin Chua.
