Milford Maynard Wood, 83, of Summerville, SC, died Sunday, May 13, 2018. His memorial service will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018, in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Milford was born May 5, 1935 in Penn Yan, NY, son of the late Claude Earl Wood and the late Evelyn Francis Wood. He was retired from Xerox Manufacturing Company and a US Army veteran. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, baking and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Smith Wood of Summerville, SC; three sons: Milford Wood, Jr. of Summerville, SC, Michael Wood of Canandaigua, NY and James M. Wood of Summerville, SC; two daughters, Donna Grant (Gary) of Shelby, NC and Shirley W. Riley of Goose Creek, SC; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
