She was a member of Northbridge Baptist Church, where she so enjoyed her Sunday school class, and the loving pastoral care she received from Pastor Louis Venable, and Pastor Patrick Luke. She was a strong advocate of being involved in the electoral process as she spent many a day working at Charleston County polling locations as Poll Manager for the Charleston County Election Commission. She proudly and diligently served as a past secretary of the Charleston County Republican Party.

Wood both of Charleston, SC; son, Kevin Wood ( Mary Mallette) of Rock Hill, SC; three grandchildren, James Corene, George Wood and Robert Wood, and her great grandchildren.A special thank you goes to those friends who are really like family that have selflessly ministered to and supported her and her caregivers throughout her illness.
