Mildred Elizabeth Tisdale

Mildred Elizabeth Tisdale, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of John Charles Tisdale entered into eternal rest Friday, November 3, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.

Mildred was born October 29, 1934 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late John Hart and Sadie Thigpen Hart. She was a retired Civil Service Communications Operator.

She is survived by her three sons, John C. Tisdale, Jr., Joseph M. Tisdale, Jeffrey Q. Tisdale all of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Cecile "Tina" Fiddie of North Charleston, SC, Caroline Tisdale of Folly Beach, SC, two brothers, James G. Herndon of North Charleston, SC, Eugene Lane of Walterboro, SC; four sisters, Ethel Castolantis of San Jose, CA, Miriam White of Summerville, SC, Sadie Mae of Goose Creek, SC, Nancy of Walterboro, SC, many grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Jay and James Tisdale.
