Mildred Cumbee Thames

Mildred Cumbee Thames, 84, of Summerville, South Carolina, wife of the late Rev. Reginald Lewis Thames, Sr. entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm.  Interment following in Wilson Cemetery, Awendaw. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.  

Mildred was born October 12, 1937 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Jasper Leland Cumbee and LillianWyndham Cumbee.  She will be remembered for the way she loved her family and the home she made.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Dials; two sisters, Catherine Denny, and Maxine Nobles; two brothers, Melvin Cumbee, and Kelly Cumbee; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Fort Thames (deceased son Rev. Reginald Lewis Thames, Jr.); three grandchildren, Addie Dials, Brandon Thames, and Tabatha Warren; and three great grandchildren.
