Mildred Daliet Smith

Mildred Daliet Smith, 88, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Herbert Wayne Smith, Sr. died Friday, August 2, 2013. The relatives and friends of Mildred Smith are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, in East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road at 3:00 pm. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 6, 2013, in East Cooper Baptist Church from 1:30 pm until time of the service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mildred was born on June 18, 1925, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, daughter of the late Norman Daliet and the late Janie Giles Burnside Daliet. She was a self employed bookkeeper, was a member of the V.F.W. Post 10624 Ladies Auxiliary of Mt. Pleasant and an avid bridge player.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Smith Wallen Truesdale of Mount Pleasant, SC; son, Herbert Wayne Smith, Jr. of Greenville, SC; sister, Norma Lewis of Jackson, MS; granddaughter, Mildred Beth Donehue of Charleston, SC; and grandson, Trey Shealy of James Island, SC. She is also survived by her long time caregiver, Simone Heyward.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 or East Cooper Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 583, Mount Pleasant, SC 29465.
