Mildred Martin Ripley

Mildred Martin Ripley, 96, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Leonard Clifford Ripley, Jr., entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 6, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday November 10, 2016 in North Charleston United Methodist Church, 1125 E. Montague Avenue at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 p.m. until 8: 00 p.m.

Mildred was born April 24, 1920 in Ravenel, South Carolina, daughter of William Howell Martin and Mary Caddin Martin. She was a member of North Charleston United Methodist Church U.M.W., Potpourri Group, Friendship Sunday School Class and Palmetto Stars. Mildred enjoyed her gardening, and her crafts. She loved to design and create Christmas Trees. Mildred was a member of North Charleston United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Rev. Leonard C. Ripley, III., (Debra) of Charleston, SC, daughter, Marianne Ripley Rogers (Robin) of North Charleston, SC, sister, Barbara Martin Cole of VA, six grandchildren, Lauren Smith (Buddy), Cliff Ripley, David Ripley (Katie), Allen Rogers, Brantley Rogers, Casey Landsittel (Mason), ten great-grandchildren.
