Mildred Joyce "Nana" Richter, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of John Gustave Rudolph Richter entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 1, 2018. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Mildred was born November 7, 1924 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Wade Hampton Dean and Hannah Missouri Craven Dean. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church and the Daughters of the Nile.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Joyce Richter of Charleston, SC; son, John Richter ( Marie) of Suffield, CT; brother, Bob Dean of Key West, FL; five grandchildren, Phillip Crowley, Tiffany Smoak (Keith), John Richter, Jr., (Kerri), Caroline Rasmussen (Daniel), and Danny Richter; three great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Crowley (Tommy), Jake Smoak, and Luke Rasmussen.
