Mildred Q. Hulme

Mount Pleasant - Mildred Frances Qualls Hulme, 96, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Robert Middleton Hulme, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Her funeral service will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mt. Pleasant chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd. at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service in the chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.

Mildred was born January 25, 1927, in Belton, South Carolina, daughter of the late Estee Harvey Qualls and Macie Francis Padgett Qualls. She graduated from Girls High School in Anderson, South Carolina. She married Robert in 1948 and settled in Mount Pleasant a few years later.

She was a long-standing member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was an active and devoted member of her Sunday school class and Adult and Senior choirs. She retired as Head Teller for South Carolina National Bank after 28 years of service.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Hulme Postek (John), of North Charleston, SC, son, Robert M. Hulme, Jr., of Huger, SC, and granddaughter, Ashley E. Postek of Charleston, SC, and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her five sisters and one brother.
