Mildred Almeida Howell

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 10, 2011, Mildred Almeida Howell, widow of William Joseph Howell.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Interment, Bethany Cemetery.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Friday between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

Mrs. Howell was born July 11, 1922 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of George H. Almeida and Ethel Puckhaber Almeida. She was a graduate of Memminger High School and Rice Business College, a member of St Matthew's Lutheran Church and a member of the Charleston Exchange Auxiliary. She was a retired travel agent with McIntosh Travel Agency.

She is survived by one son: William J. Howell, Jr. (Margaret) of Charleston, SC; one daughter: Connie H. Koonce (Earle) of Charleston, SC; 5 grandchildren: Juli Reynolds, Karen Lancaster, Corey H. Koonce, Renee Hutsell and Jennifer Velte; 9 great grandchildren: Cardin, Elena, Hanna, Jacob, Haley, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Lauren, and Diana.
