Mildred Irene Brewer, 96, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Everett M. Brewer entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 24, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held at the graveside Friday, December 2, 2016 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
Mildred was born April 7, 1920 in Alton, Missouri, daughter of the late Joseph Florea and Effie Strain Florea. In addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, she held various accounting/secretarial positions over the years and was an avid seamstress and quilting enthusiast. She was a long-time member of the Island Quilters in Charleston, SC.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Gisburne of Ashburn, VA, Karen Bollinger of Ballwin, MO, and Denise Pierson of New Hope, PA; two sons, Lanny Brewer of Leawood, KS, Tracy Brewer of Hayward, CA; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
