Michel E. Turner

Michel E. Turner, 85, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, previously of Sumter, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, November 4, 2024.

Born July 17, 1939 in Chicago, IL, he served in the United States Air Force and while stationed in England, met his beloved wife, Annette. They moved to Sumter, SC where he worked in civil service for 40 years, including time at Shaw AFB, MacDill AFB and Ramstein AFB. He also taught classes in Sumter at Central Carolina Technical College.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Annette Mills Turner, his sister Antoinette, and his brother, Paul.

He is survived by his daughters, Nicole McMillan and Michelle Karkowski (Rick) and four grandsons, Ryan McMillan (Ally), Colin McMillan (Silver), Matt Karkowski (Lili) and Jacob Karkowski (Sydney).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sumter SPCA, 1140 S. Guignard Dr. Sumter, SC 29150, in honor of his beloved JoJo.
