Michael Wayne Harley, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on March 18, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on December 1, 1952, in Kingstree, South Carolina, Michael lived a life marked by passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

As the owner of Davis Towing, Michael was known for his strong work ethic, managing a successful business while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all who visited. His affection for the cats that called his shop home was a testament to his kind-hearted nature. Michael's generosity was unparalleled; he was the type of person who would literally give you the shirt off his back.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Michael cherished the time spent with his family. He enjoyed relaxing on the porch with a cigar, engaging in spirited games of cards, and sharing joyful moments with his loved ones. His hobbies included watching NASCAR races and indulging in episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and Two and a Half Men. He had a deep appreciation for cars, relishing the experience and stories each one had to tell.

Michael served his country honorably in the Coast Guard, embodying the values of service and sacrifice. He was not only dedicated to his profession but also to his family, and he will be remembered for his most giving spirit.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Lynne (Kendall) Harley, whom he married on June 17, 1989. He is also survived by his cherished children, Kristin Harley of Summerville, SC, and Ryan Gadd of Nashville, TN. His grandchildren, Ian Gadd, Kayla Gadd, Alyssa Gadd, Mackenzie Harley, and Lylah Lane, were a source of immense joy and pride for him.

He leaves behind his siblings, Renee Harley Askins (Mike) of Summerville, SC, Susan Benedict (Brian) of Summerville, SC, and Johnny Bargessar (Karen) of Hanahan, SC. He also is remembered by his niece, Melissa Marbert (David) of Greenwood, SC, and nephew, Brandon Askins (Deena) of Summerville.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Almetta Harley, and Nina and Pierce Richardson.

His legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will continue to resonate within the hearts of his family and friends. Michael Wayne Harley will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
