Michael Dean Stephenson, 45, of Summerville, South Carolina, beloved husband of Rebecca Stephenson, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Born June 7, 1980, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Michael was the son of David Stephenson of Grantsville, Utah, and the late Ann Hancock Stephenson.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of dedication, craftsmanship, and a love for his family that ran deep and unwavering. A good man in every sense, he devoted his life to those he cherished most-his wife and his children, who were the center of his world.

Michael shared an extraordinary love with his wife, Rebecca-a rare and beautiful bond rooted in loyalty, strength, and deep connection. Their love was the kind that endured, uplifted, and inspired, leaving a lasting impression on all who witnessed it. She was his partner, his home, and the love of his life.

His children Miguel, Clarissa, Aurelia, Jaden, Ellie, and Gemma were his greatest pride and joy. Everything he did was grounded in his love for them. He was their protector, their teacher, and their biggest supporter, always guiding them with strength and heart.

A master craftsman in carpentry, Michael possessed an extraordinary gift that set him apart. His work was not only admired but sought after, with people traveling from afar to own pieces created by his hands. Through his craft, he built more than beautiful and functional works-he built a reputation grounded in excellence, integrity, and passion.

Outside of his work, Michael found peace in the outdoors. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, finding both joy and solitude in nature. His care extended to every part of his life, including the yard he tended with pride, creating a space of beauty and tranquility. He also shared a deep connection with his wife, Rebecca, through their mutual love of music-a bond that brought them even closer and filled their lives with meaning and shared joy.

Above all else, Michael will be remembered for the way he loved-fiercely, fully, and without hesitation. His devotion to his wife and his children defined his life and will remain his greatest legacy. He had many loving memories with his siblings, David, Jerid, Chris, Alicia, and Kelcey.

His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him-a devoted husband, a proud father, and a man whose hands and spirit brought beauty, strength, and warmth into the world.

A Gathering in loving memory of Michael’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with a Memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM at Buffalo Lake, 125 Summers Drive, Summerville, SC 29485. Arrangements have been entrusted to J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

In honor of Michael, guests are respectfully asked to wear black attire.
